How do I rename my domain?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to change a domain name once it has been registered. You can only change/replace it with another domain name.

This is because a domain name is a "license" that you purchase to use that name on the web.  The license lasts for the period of time that you've registered your domain name for.  These "Domain Licenses" can't be changed or refunded once they have been registered.

You're still able to change the domain name that's used on your site however.  If you want to change the domain name used for your site, you will need to;

1. Order a new domain. This can be done on our web site at http://www.domainhostingshop.com.au.

2. Send us an email requesting that your hosting is switched over to your new domain name.
